Choose the deliverable first
A native photo carousel and a video assembled from images are not the same file. Decide how you intend to publish before designing. Check the current creation options in your account and use the format that supports the reader’s task.
Outline before designing
Write the first slide as a specific promise. Give each middle slide one step or example. Finish by completing the explanation, then add a relevant next action. For a product tutorial, make sure the reader can follow the sequence without relying on an unseen caption.
Review at phone size
Check line length, contrast and the space occupied by platform controls. Avoid compressing a paragraph onto one slide. If two slides repeat the same idea, merge them. The correct length is the length needed to finish the explanation.
Your next brief
Put these decisions in writing before you start production. A short brief gives the creator and reviewer the same standard to work towards. Keep the approved source material with the final file so the next version can build on the work rather than start again.
